אָז יָשִׁיר מֹשֶׁה |

אֶת הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת |
this song |

|
| 3 |
וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֵאמֹר |
and they said |
|
|
|
|
| 4 |
’אָשִׁירָה לַה |
I will sing to Hashem |
|
|
|
|
| 5 |
כִּי גָאֹה גָּאָה |
because he is most high |
|
|
|
|
| 6 |
סוּס וְרֹכְבוֹ |
a horse with its rider |
|
|
|
|
| 7 |
רָמָה בַיָּם |
he threw into the sea |
|
|
|
|
| 8 |
עָזִּי וְזִמְרָת יָהּ |
the strength and retribution of Hashem |
|
|
|
|
| 9 |
וַיְהִי לִי לִישׁוּעָה |
was the cause of my salvation |
|
|
|
|
| 10 |
זֶה אֵלִי וְאַנְוֵֽהוּ |
this is my G-d and I will glorify him |
|
|
|
|
| 11 |
אֱלֹהֵי אָבִי וַאֲרֹמְמֶֽנְהוּ |
(he is) the G-d of my father and I will glorify him |
|
|
|
|
| 12 |
אִישׁ מִלְחָמָה |
a man of war |
|
|
|
|
| 13 |
מַרְכְּבֹת פַּרְעֹה וְחֵילוֹ |
Pharaoh’s chariots and army |
|
|
|
|
| 14 |
יָרָה בַיָּם |
he threw into the sea |
|
|
|
|
| 15 |
וּמִבְחַר שָׁלִשָׁיו |
and his elite officers |
|
|
|
|
| 16 |
טֻבְּעוּ בְיַם סוּף |
he drowned in the yam suf |
|
|
|
|
| 17 |
תְּהֹמֹת יְכַסְיֻֽמוּ |
the deep waters covered them |
|
|
|
|
| 18 |
יָרְדוּ בִמְצוֹלֹת |
they went down into the depths |
|
|
|
|
| 19 |
כְּמוֹ אָֽבֶן |
like stone |
|
|
|
|
| 20 |
יְמִינְךָ |
your right hand |
|
|
|
|
| 21 |
תִּרְעַץ אוֹיֵב |
crushes the enemy |
|
|
|
|
| 22 |
וּבְרֹב גְּאוֹנְךָ |
and in your great majesty |
|
|
|
|
| 23 |
תַּהֲרֹס קָמֶֽיךָ |
you destroyed your opponents |
|
|
|
|
| 24 |
תְּשַׁלַּח חֲרֹנְךָ |
you sent forth your fury |
|
|
|
|
| 25 |
יֹאכְלֵֽמוֹ כַּקַּשׁ |
it consumed them like straw |
|
|
|
|
| 26 |
וּבְרֽוּחַ אַפֶּֽיךָ |
and with the wind from your nostrils |
|
|
|
|
| 27 |
נֶֽעֶרְמוּ מַֽיִם |
the waters were heaped up |
|
|
|
|
| 28 |
נִצְּבוּ כְמוֹ נֵד נֹזְלִים |
flowing water stood up straight like a wall |
|
|
|
|
| 29 |
קָפְאוּ תְהֹמֹת בְּלֶב יָם |
the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea |
|
|
|
|
| 30 |
אָמַר אוֹיֵב |
the enemy said |
|
|
|
|
| 31 |
אֶרְדֹּף אַשִּׂיג |
I will chase and I will reach them |
|
|
|
|
| 32 |
אֲחַלֵּק שָׁלָל |
I will divide up the spoils |
|
|
|
|
| 33 |
תִּמְלָאֵֽמוֹ נַפְשִׁי |
I will fulfill my soul |
|
|
|
|
| 34 |
אָרִיק חַרְבִּי |
I will take out my sword |
|
|
|
|
| 35 |
תּוֹרִישֵֽׁמוֹ יָדִי |
my hand will destroy them |
|
|
|
|
| 36 |
נָשַֽׁפְתָּ בְרוּחֲךָ |
you blew with your wind |
|
|
|
|
| 37 |
כִּסָּֽמוֹ יָם |
the sea covered them |
|
|
|
|
| 38 |
צָלְלוּ כַּעוֹפֶרֶת |
they sank like lead |
|
|
|
|
| 39 |
בְּמַֽיִם אַדִּירִים |
in the mighty waters |
