וַיַּרְא |
And he saw |

The nation saw that Moshe delayed from coming down the mountain |

ויִּתְפָּרְקוּ |
And they took off |
|
They took of their golden rings |
|
|
| 3 |
וַיַּשְׁכִּימוּ |
And they woke up |
|
They woke up early to worship the עגל |
|
|
| 4 |
קוּם |
Come on! Get up! |
|
בני ישראל אומרים לאהרן: קום עשה לנו אלהים |
|
|
| 5 |
בֹשֵׁשׁ |
Delayed |
|
משה delayed in cming down the mountain |
|
|
| 6 |
הֶעֱלָנוּ |
Brought us up |
|
God/ Moshe/ עגל brought us up out of Egypt |
|
|
| 7 |
וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ |
And they bowed |
|
בני ישראל bowed to the עגל |
|
|
| 8 |
זְכֹר |
Remember |
|
Moshe tells God to remember the promies he made to Avraham, Yizchak and Yaakov |
|
|
| 9 |
שִׁחֵת |
Corrupt, Rebellious, "Bad" |
|
Bnei Yisrael were corrupt |
|
|
| 10 |
וַיְחַל |
And he prayed |
|
Moshe prayed to God |
|
|
