אֲשֶׁר בָּֽחַר בָּֽנוּ |
Who chose us |

|
|
|
6 |
מִכָּל הָעַמִּים |
from all the nations |
|
|
|
|
7 |
וְנָֽתַן לָֽנוּ |
and gave us |
|
|
|
|
8 |
אֶת תּוֹרָתוֹ |
His Torah |
|
|
|
|
9 |
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ד' |
source of blessing are You Hashem |
|
|
|
|
10 |
נוֹתֵן הַתּוֹרָה |
Giver of the Torah |
|
|
|
|
11 |
יְבָרֶכְךְ ד' |
May Hashem bless you |
|
|
|
|
12 |
וְיִשְׁמְרֶֽךָ |
and guard you |
|
|
|
|
13 |
יאר ד' פָּנָיו אֵלֶֽיךָ |
may Hashem shine His countenance for you |
|
|
|
|
14 |
וִיחֻנֶּֽךָּ |
and give you favor |
|
|
|
|
15 |
יִשָּׂא ד’ |
may Hashem lift |
|
|
|
|
16 |
פָּנָיו אֵלֶֽיךָ |
His countenance to you |
|
|
|
|
17 |
וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלוֹם |
and grant you peace |
|
|
|
|
18 |
אֵֽלּוּ דְבָרִים |
these are the things |
|
|
|
|
19 |
שֶׁאֵין לָהֶם שִׁעוּר |
that have no set measure |
|
|
|
|
20 |
הַפֵּאָה |
the mitzvah of Peah |
|
|
|
|
21 |
וְהַבִּכּוּרִים |
and Bikkurim |
|
|
|
|
22 |
וְהָרַאְיוֹן |
going up to Yerushalayim (for the festivals) |
|
|
|
|
23 |
וּגְמִילוּת חֲסָדִים |
and doing chessed |
|
|
|
|
24 |
וְתַלְמוּד תּוֹרָה |
and Torah study |
|
|
|
|
25 |
אֵֽלּוּ דְבָרִים |
these are the things |
|
|
|
|
26 |
שֶׁאָדָם אוֹכֵל פֵּרוֹתֵיהֶם |
which a person enjoys their fruits |
|
|
|
|
27 |
בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה |
in this world |
|
|
|
|
28 |
וְהַקֶּֽרֶן קַיֶּֽמֶת לוֹ |
but whose principle remains intact for him |
|
|
|
|
29 |
לָעוֹלָם הַבָּא |
in the World to Come |
|
|
|
|
30 |
וְאֵֽלּוּ הֵן: |
and they are |
|
|
|
|
31 |
כִּבּוּד אָב וָאֵם |
honoring ones father and mother |
|
|
|
|
32 |
וְהַשְׁכָּמַת בֵּית הַמִּדְרָשׁ |
early attendance in the Beit Medrash |
|
|
|
|
33 |
שַׁחֲרִית וְעַרְבִית |
morning and evening |
|
|
|
|
34 |
וְהַכְנָסַת אוֹרְחִים |
welcoming guests |
|
|
|
|
35 |
וּבִקּוּר חוֹלִים |
visiting the sick |
|
|
|
|
36 |
וְהַכְנָסַת כַּלָּה |
providing for a bride |
|
|
|
|
37 |
וּלְוָיַת הַמֵּת |
escorting the dead |
|
|
|
|
38 |
וְעִיוּן תְּפִלָּה |
absorbtion in prayer |
|
|
|
|
39 |
וַהֲבָאַת שָׁלוֹם |
bringing peace |
|
|
|
|
40 |
בֵּין אָדָם לַחֲבֵרוֹ |
between man and his fellow |
|
|
|
|
41 |
וְתַלְמוּד תּוֹרָה כְּנֶֽגֶד כֻּלָּם |
and the study of Torah is equivalent to them all |
