אִשָּׁה זֹנָה |
A woman married improperly |

| 2 |
וַחֲלָלָה |
And a “chalalah” |
|
|
|
|
| 3 |
לֹא יִקָּחוּ |
He cannot take (for a wife) |
|
|
|
|
| 4 |
וְאִשָּׁה גְּרוּשָׁה |
And a woman divorced |
|
|
|
|
| 5 |
מֵאִישָׁהּ |
From her man (husband) |
|
|
|
|
| 6 |
לֹא יִקָּחוּ |
They cannot take |
|
|
|
|
| 7 |
כִּי־קָדֹשׁ הוּא |
Because he his holy |
|
|
|
|
| 8 |
לֵאלֹקָיו: |
To his G-d |
|
|
|
|
| 9 |
וְקִדַּשְׁתּוֹ |
And you should make him holy |
|
|
|
|
| 10 |
כִּי־אֶת־לֶחֶם אֱלֹקֶיךָ |
Because the bread of your G-d |
|
|
|
|
| 11 |
הוּא מַקְרִיב |
He brings (as a korban) |
|
|
|
|
| 12 |
קָדשׁ יִהְיֶה־לָּךְ |
He should be holy to you |
|
|
|
|
| 13 |
כִּי קָדוֹשׁ אֲנִי ה’ |
Because I Hashem is holy |
|
|
|
|
| 14 |
מְקַדִּשְׁכֶם: |
Will make you holy |
|
|
|
|
| 15 |
וּבַת אִישׁ כֹּהֵן |
And the daughter of a kohen |
|
|
|
|
| 16 |
כִּי תֵחֵל לִזְנוֹת |
When she strays and marries improperly |
|
|
|
|
| 17 |
אֶת־אָבִיהָ הִיא מְחַלֶּלֶת |
She disgraces her father |
|
|
|
|
| 18 |
בָּאֵשׁ תִּשָּׂרֵף: |
She should be burnt in fire |
|
|
|
|
| 19 |
וְהַכֹּהֵן |
And the kohen |
|
|
|
|
| 20 |
הַגָּדוֹל מֵאֶחָיו |
That is greater than his brother |
|
|
|
|
| 21 |
אֲשֶׁר־יוּצַק עַל־רֹאשׁוֹ |
That it was poured on his head |
|
|
|
|
| 22 |
שֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה |
The anointing oil |
|
|
|
|
| 23 |
וּמִלֵּא אֶת־יָדוֹ |
And he takes responsibility |
|
|
|
|
| 24 |
לִלְבֹּשׁ אֶת־הַבְּגָדִים |
To wear the clothing |
|
|
|
|
| 25 |
אֶת־רֹאשׁוֹ לֹא יִפְרָע |
He cannot grow his hair long |
|
|
|
|
| 26 |
וּבְגָדָיו לֹא יִפְרֹם: |
And he cannot tear his clothing |
|
|
|
|
