בָּעֶרֶב כָּל אָדָם יַטּוּ וְיִקְרְאוּ |
In the evening a person should recline and read |

וּבַבֹּקֶר יַעֲמְדוּ |
And stand in the morning |

|
|
| 3 |
כָּל אָדָם קוֹרֵא כְּדַרְכּוֹ |
You can read the Sh’ma in any position |

|
|
| 4 |
וְסִכַּנְתִּי בְעַצְמִי מִפְּנֵי הַלִּסְטִים |
I placed myself in danger because of robbers |
|
|
|
|
| 5 |
בַּשַּׁחַר מְבָרֵךְ שְׁתַּיִם לְפָנֶיהָ |
In the morning we say 2 brachot before |
|
|
|
|
| 6 |
וּבָעֶרֶב שְׁתַּיִם לְפָנֶיהָ וּשְׁתַּיִם לְאַחֲרֶיהָ |
And in the evening we say 2 brachot and 2 after |
|
|
|
|
| 7 |
אַחַת אֲרֻכָּה וְאַחַת קְצָרָה |
One is long and one is short |
|
|
|
|
| 8 |
מַזְכִּירִין יְצִיאַת מִצְרַיִם |
we remember the leaving of Mitzrayim |
|
|
|
|
| 9 |
הֲרֵי אֲנִי כְּבֶן שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה |
I am like a man of 70 years |
|
|
|
|
| 10 |
כֹּל (יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ), לְהָבִיא לִימוֹת הַמָּשִׁיחַ: |
All the days even in the time of Mashiach |
